Brazed plate heat exchanger is a new type of high efficiency heat exchanger which is made of a series of corrugated metal sheets stacked by brazing. Thin rectangular channels are formed between the various plates for heat exchange through the plates. Compared with conventional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, it has much higher heat transfer coefficient under the same flow resistance and pump power consumption, and has a tendency to replace shell-and-tube heat exchangers within the applicable range.
